The Mastering Process
Mastering is last crucial step in the post-production process of audio recording. Though some may think of mastering as a mysterious art, the reality is that mastering is a blending of science and art, relying on both real world experience and technical knowledge. The goal of the mastering process is to create a final master recording that is ready to duplicate and distribute.
What Does Mastering Your Record Accomplish?
It increases the volume level.
Mastering events out song levels
It improves the transition space between tracks.
It EQ’s the individual tracks for a more unified sound
It removes hisses, clicks, pops, and other extraneous noises
A mastered track will ensure your sound is consistent on different sound systems.
